With so much to tell you, I don’t know where to begin. It’s astonishing that I’ve made it three days on an all-fruit diet. In many ways, it feels like I did when I went vegan. The difference is, now I’m drooling over mushrooms, carrots, and potatoes, instead of meat and dairy. Knowing that I’ve gotten through this (craving) feeling before assures me that I can do it again. What’s even more amazing is that I haven’t had a single cup of coffee in three days! I was drinking at least 4-6 cups a day. I’m not saying that I won’t go back to drinking coffee after this week, but I’ll certainly be cutting back. Another thing I’ve been noticing today is that my senses have been dramatically enhanced. I’m smelling and tasting everything like it’s for the first time! I’m not sure what that’s all about, but I like it.
After Day 2’s weigh-in, I was a little concerned about my weight loss. I lost 4 lbs in that first 24 hours! The last thing I need (or want) to do is lose weight. I’m usually pretty comfortable around 145-150 lbs. To neutralize my decrease in weight, I started adding avocados to everything. This appears to be working, as I didn’t lose an ounce from Day 2 to Day 3. But, let’s get into the details. For the remaining days, I will attempt to keep these recaps a little shorter so that I can focus more detail on the recipes. I will have pictures no matter what though!
